Getting Grounded

Learn an easy way to get grounded, regardless of weather, from our practitioner Shelly Davis, EEM-CP, RYT.


You probably already know how important it is to be grounded, or connected to the energies of the earth, but do you know how to help your body do that?



Of course, walking on the earth with your bare feet is ideal, but pretty challenging to do regularly, especially in the winter. And there are those pricey devices you can purchase to help you ground, too.  However, I have a very simple and easy hack to help you stay grounded and it comes from your kitchen....




  Its a spoon!


Yes! A spoon! Just grab an everyday stainless steel spoon from your kitchen drawer and spoon the bottom of your feet daily! This tool may be simple, but it is mighty when it comes to matching your body’s polarities to the earth.  Since we are electrical beings, the blend of metals in the spoon creates a slightly magnetic tug on your body’s energies, drawing them down to your feet, helping you to stay connected to Mother Earth. 


I keep one on my bedside table and I “spoon” the bottoms of my feet with the rounded part of the spoon when I wake up and when I go to sleep. Pretty great and simple!  There’s a lot of research out there about the benefits of grounding and, to put it in a nutshell, being grounded is a pathway for your body to reduce inflammation.  You will feel better, more yourself, and, well, grounded!
